I've already moved on from slouchy, big purses, but the bags I'm carrying at the moment aren't quite as nice and boxy as this one. Do want!

Falling's Not The Problem

I found these (rather grainy) pictures I'd saved from Fashion Month back in February, and was instantly in a fall mood. These are from the Cerutti show; a brand I'm not at all familiar with, but I really like what they've got to offer for fall/winter. Great mix of colours and textures, the right amount of soft draping and interesting layering. In theory, we'll have summery weather for at least another month, but I'm certain a little preparation for fall can't hurt.

Made For You

While these shoes from Alain Quilici have a very unique style, they still remind me a bit of Camilla Skovgaard's footwear. I think it's because both designers like to play with bold and strong elements. I also feel like both designers make shoes that are easy to walk in, considering how tall they are. Alain's comb wedge is a really interesting design, but I imagine I'd have to pick gravel out of it all the time. It would totally be worth it, though.

Queen Camilla

Camilla Skovgaard is rather famous for her shoes featuring that easily recognizable claw-cut sole. Most people love it, some think it's a bit vulgar, and we'll see much more of it when the fall collection hits the stores.

I am a big fan (no surprise there), and I'm also excited about the new, even bolder shape below. (Would you call that style a wedge?) While Skovgaard likes experimenting with shapes, the colours are quite toned down, making the shoes rather wearable.

As always I have to ask; which pair do you prefer? I'd love any of these, but if I have to pick one favourite, I'll go with the pale grey "wedge".

It's Friday, and here's a little bit of eye candy for you. I really like the LV pump (and it's such an upgrade from the shoes of the current season that I have no words), but next to the Balenciaga it looks a bit ordinary. Love the colours of both, though!

Nope, not done with the fall accessory report yet. And there are more interesting things to report than shoes.

While pale colours and flower motifs are all over the trends of spring, these bags rely on interesting shapes and textures to prove their brilliance. In shades going from grey to dark grey to black they're not even close to becoming boring. I wouldn't mind seeing the Jil Sander Manga Madame bag everywhere, as I know I certainly won't be able to afford it. The Givenchy Eve bag below is another favourite.

The second installment of fall footwear from the accessory report is all about the super-tall straight heel I mentioned yesterday. This shape looks great when the rest of the shoe is kept simple and sleek, like the Hermès boots below, and the Celine boot and sandal.

Fall Again

If you've followed this blog for a while, you know that every six months or so, I go crazy when the Style.com Accessory Report is up. Of course this season is no different. Filled with all the new styles for next fall, it is kind of like a Christmas present delivered a few months late to a shoe lover like myself.

So what did I find? As far as shoe shapes go, it seems like tall and thick heels are going to be one of the dominant styles. A few designers have pushed that shape a little further, and ended up with heels that are slightly wider at the bottom. Below are a few examples of this style. While they look a bit intimidating at first, I really like the shape of the Alexander Wang and the Marni shoes. At Rochas, however, the silhouette has been pushed too far for my taste.

Dangerously tall, but nice and warm from Burberry Prorsum? Or dangerously tall, but nice and warm from Viktor & Rolf?

I know I'll drool over both, but as much as I like the buckles of the BP boot, I think I'll have to give my vote to the interesting silhouette of the V&R wedge. Which one would you pick?

The Colour And The Shape

I think I'll never get tired of a great wedge. These, from Rick Owens, have the perfect height, silhouette and attitude. I've been in love with RO footwear for a while, but these are better than anything I've seen from him previously.

That 70's Shoe

If you want neutral, simple and elegant shoes for fall, you'd better steer away from the latest Balenciaga footwear. While I'd prefer these in slightly less busy colour schemes, I'm still in awe. They look a bit more wearable than the "Lego shoes" from some seasons ago, and the silhouette is simply wonderful.
