Zara, I Hate You

And I only hate you 'cause I love you. See, I was really excited when Zara opened up an online store, and almost heartbroken when I realized they're not shipping to Norway. I know we're just a tiny country, but we love online shopping! At least I do!

It's almost painful to browse their site, because there are just so many items that would go perfectly with everything else in my closet. Like these tiny, shiny bags. Fortunately, I bought one of them when in Barcelona this summer, but I've come to realize that I really need a red one as well.

Saturated

Shoes: YSL / Dress: Balenciaga / Skirt: Norma Kamali / Polo neck: Jil Sander / Textured dress: Lela Rose

I don't know if it's a response to all the white of fashion month and the pale shades of this seasons palette, but all I seem want at the moment is unnaturally bright and bold blues.

Le Rouge

What to do with all those beige, camel, white and nude pieces you've purchased the last few months? I'm going to wear mine with something red/rust/burgundy/orange/you-name-it. Those red suede shorts are pretty high on my wishlist at the moment. In fact, wearing an all-red outfit is suddenly really tempting.

All items from Topshop.

Top

I've finally gotten used to the whole bra-as-a-top trend, and then fall happens, and showing off this much skin will only lead to a sore throat and a runny nose.

The picture above, from the lovely Vanillascented, was what really convinced me that lingerie as outerwear can look great. Her bra is from H&M, and I've been keeping an eye out for it all summer, with no luck. The H&M in my little town is certainly not among the best stocked ones. I also love the options below, particularily the black one by VPL.

¡Hasta luego!

I think I've found my perfect basic fall boots. These pretty things can be found at Opening Ceremony. I really like the thick heel and the little details, like the metal bits on the black and brown pair.

First thing's first, though. Tomorrow I leave for Barcelona, which means this blog will be quiet for a little while. Can't wait to get on the plane!

Handsome!

I'm certain everybody and their cats know about the awesome swimsuit/bodysuit company We Are Handsome by now, but I'm posting some of their designs anyway. I really wish I could bring one of these bikinis with me when I leave for Barcelona in less than two weeks. Triangle bikini tops are the best ones for my body shape, and these prints are just perfect. I particularily love the print called The Bahamas, featuring flamingoes.

Money Could Buy Me Love

Sometimes I hate sales. All these gorgeous shoes are currently reduced by 60 or 70%, and they're still out of my league. That's a bit depressing. Hopefully I've only got two more years of studies before I can get myself a well-paying job, but by then I'll probably have other things to worry about, like buying a car or a house.

Goodbye, gorgeous heels! I hope you end up with somebody who deserve you!

Accessory Report Time

Hello. You all browse through the Accessory Report after every season, right? The Candy Pratts Price's Accessory Report for style.com? If you don't... you don't have to start right now, because I've collected the best of the best for you.

This is the Spring 2010 report, and it contains pictures of 478 brand new shoes, bags and pieces of jewelry. I've gone through them all a few times already, making wishlists and that's the ugliest bag I've ever seen-lists and of course my own best shoes-list. In no particular order, here are my favourites from the Spring 2010 selection:

Givenchy / Gucci

Devi Kroell / Donna Karan

Camilla Skovgaard / Bruno Frisoni

Aperlaï / Balenciaga

Yves Saint Laurent

Pierre Hardy / Salvatore Ferragamo

Alexander Wang

Hermès / Alejandro Ingelmo

Virtual Window Shopping

Today I dragged out my imaginary gold Visa and spent some fantasy money getting outfits from the "What's new" sections at Net-a-Porter and Browns. While I find this kind of virtual window shopping quite therapeutical, I can't help but wonder if perhaps it's just a way to make myself used to the idea of spending heaps of cash on clothes... Oh well.

Net-a-Porter: MiuMiu goat hair jacket / Helmut Lang print dress / Helmut Lang leather insert leggings
Fendi tote / Brian Atwood pumps / Balenciaga glasses / Bottega Veneta Ring

Browns: Gareth Pugh jacket / Balenciaga print dress / Jil Sander boots
Balenciaga wallet / Fannie Schiavoni necklace

I can't help but notice that both selections came out looking slightly similar, a bit of drama with lots of black, which is just what I'll continue to wear this fall. If I could have my pick of just one of these items, I would pounce upon the Jil Sander boots. They are all kinds of gorgeous.

Very Particular Leather

One must-have item for fall down, several more to go. The next items on my shopping list are tall leather boots and a striking leather jacket. This Nina Ricci jacket would be perfect, but is way out of my reach. A girl can dream, though.

(And, predictably enough, those extreme Nina Ricci heels have been featured in quite a bit of editorials already. I think I'm actually getting used to the silhouette. Here's a video of a "normal person" wearing them.)

Mmm, Electronics!

As girly as I am, I also like gadgets and shiny electronics. Here are a few things I'd need to actually save up for before buying. I thought it might be a good idea to do a post like this to remind myself that I don't have to spend every single cent of my paycheck each month, and if I don't, I'll be able to afford shinies like the ones below.

1. Canon EOS 450D, or similar.

My current camera is ok, but I want something great. I've also discovered that my camera lacks an auto feature, so outfit posts (yes, I've been intending to do some of those) will probably be limited to mirror shots for now. I hate mirror shots.

2. External hard drive.

My recent history of computer crashes really made me realize how valuable back-up is. I still haven't gotten my dear laptop back from service, and I'll only be able to borrow the one I've got at the moment for another two weeks...

3. iPhone, or other touch-screen phone.

I just realized my current phone is one and a half years old, and while that doesn't mean I need a new one, I certainly want one. I've never really owned a fancy cell phone, and I'd probably crack the screen the first week if I were to get one, but the desire is there.
