What's new at Browns this week? These gorgeous suede wedges from Osman Yousefzada, which I fell for six months ago during the last London fashion week. Loved them then, love them now. If I could, I'd pair them with a simple black and white outfit with some geometric touches and organic jewelry.

Autumn Colours
While we're waiting for the shows to start, here are some python heels in very appropriate colours to remind us of the season that's just getting started. As if we need that reminder.
These stilettos from Brian Attwood look both hard to walk in and hard to match with clothes, but they're still eye candy to me. Python skin mimicking fallen leaves? Brilliant!

Sharon Wauchob FW09
Speaking of fashion week, look what I found hidden in the bottom of a dusty picture folder! Pretty runway footage from FW09, Sharon Wauchob and Rue du Mail.
I can't believe I've neglected to post these! Both collections are great examples of how I'll be trying to dress the coming months; layers, black/grey/blue, different textures, structured jackets, slim pants.

Buckle Me Up
What do I think will become the most visible footwear trend this fall/winter? Buckled boots. These are my top ten favourites from Net-a-Porter and Browns right now. All black, all with high heels, all amazing.
What's that? You're saying I can have my pick of one of the above pairs? That's so nice of you, I'll go with the Burberry Prorsum's.

The Future Is Now pt 2
I've already posted the thigh-high and knee-high boots, but the Raphael Young FW09 collection has more to offer. Much more.
Again, I'm thinking the black wedge with the cut-out is the best option, but these are all gorgeous. I think these would go very well with the shimmery Gucci fall collection, or perhaps with a superhero costume. Now, there's an idea for Halloween!

The Future is Now
Aren't these crazy beautiful? My love of geometry and architectural footwear knows no limits! My favourite is the thigh-high black boot in the middle. Such an innovative heel shape!

Owens Again?
If I had unlimited funding, and had to stick to one brand only this fall, I don't know which I'd chose, but this shot from the August issue of Vogue Paris makes a pretty strong argument for wearing all Rick Owens. Raw edges, interesting silhouettes, soft leather and lots of black are all winners in my book.

Crazy Cat Lady
I absolutely adored last seasons Lanvin ads featuring the always gorgeous Iselin, but these are even better. I don't know if it is the mixture of great photography, clothes, modelling and footwear or simply the brilliant inclusion of two absolutely adorable black cats, but I know I love it.

Rick Revisited
I'm not feeling great these days, which means I've been stuck indoors playing my favourite game of which shoes would I buy right now if I had unlimited funds? a lot. At the moment the choice would, surprizingly enough, be a pair of Rick Owens wedges. Until now, I haven't really gotten the appeal of RO footwear, probably because they aren't super tall, but I've been converted. These would be both comfortable and really practical come fall.

Bad Prada
Being back from a holiday can be nice, but today the summer sun is hidden by heavy rain clouds, and looking at these Prada footwear ads does nothing to lighten my mood.
The first ad is nice enough. Sure, the ridiculous embellishments are reminding me strongly of turkeys, but the chunky heels and the height of the shoes save the look.
But then we get to the picture below, and I start to weep a little inside. Prada is very often responsible for starting fashion trends, and if these shoes indicate any coming trends... Call me a shoe snob, but didn't we suffer enough when kitten heels were all the rage?

Head in the Wrong Place
I'm on vacation at the moment, but the blog goes on, thanks to the wonders of scheduled posting.
While browsing my favourite fashion community, I came across this hilarious example of laziness. Above; a runway picture from the Donna Karan Fall 2009 show. Below; the Donna Karan Fall 2009 ad. Now, that's just awful. As somebody else mentioned; which model gets paid for this?

Couture Feet
I'm on vacation at the moment, but the blog goes on, thanks to the wonders of scheduled posting.
Before jetting away to Crete, I managed to get a quick glance through all the couture shows, and the one thing that disappointed me the most was the lack of shoes that made me go wow. I might have overlooked some gems, but the pair above (Jean Paul Gaultier HC Fall 09) was the only one that really caught my interest. The clear plastic reminds me slightly of Chanel, the stockings of Balenciaga, and while the mix of the two could be considered trashy, I'm just amused.

Down the Aisle
You say tomorrow is my wedding day? And I get to wear some brand new haute couture on my big day?
Then I'd like to introduce you to my beautiful white and red dress from Givenchy Fall 2009 Haute Couture. Karlie has borrowed my shawl and shoes. Below, you can see what my hair would look like; straight from the Chanel Fall 09 HC show.
I can't wait!

Fatal Attraction
I could start this post with apologizing for the huge picture, but I wont; these shoes deserve to be seen! For once I can't decide which shoe I like better; they are all absolutely gorgeous. Not that it really matters, as they're a bit out of my league, but a girl needs to have her dreams.

Construction
These images from the Hussein Chalayan fall 2009 campaign are some of the best ads I've seen in a while. Such a brilliant mixture of simple and complicated. It looks like the girls were photographed backstage before/after the runway show, and these shots are featured against what seems to be inspirational collages and early sketches of the clothes.

Chained Feet
Alessandro dell'Acqua Fall/Winter 09/10
Easter is gone, I'm back to work and back to blogging. At the moment I'm feeling rather uninspired, and I've been lucky enough to come down with a fever, but I thought I'd take the time to post these interesting shoes I found lingering in the back of my Photobucket account. Enjoy!

Black or White?
Antonio Berardi / Akris
This time, I'm inclined to go with white. Both pairs of shoes are to die for, but the structure of the Berardi heels are simply amazing.
Agree?

Blue Suede Shoes
My dear laptop died yesterday. At the moment I'm hoping it's just taking a rest, because if I lose all the image folders saved on it, I think I might die.
How to overcome angst caused by lack of my own computer? Borrow another laptop and browse detail shots at style.com to find more shoes to drool over, of course!
These babies are gorgeous. I think I've mentioned earlier that I'm going to make myself get some coloured footwear this spring, and wearing colours like that blue above would make me a very happy girl indeed. I also love the interesting arch that makes these shoes a sort of cross between a platform stiletto and a wedge.
By the way, did anybody else notice unusual amounts of suede shoes stomping down the runways this season?
