Range of Orange

Runway shots from the spring/summer 2011 shows via style.it

Orange better become a colour trend next season, as this took me long enough to make.

Seriously, though, orange seems like a hard colour to pull off, but it can be really pretty and eye-catching when done right. And with a range of shades this wide, there should be something out there for everybody, including me with my pale, Nordic skin.

Not Marni

Intelligent details and textures at Proenza Schouler. These new bags are not as good as the PS1, and I didn't like even one pair of the shoes, but the collection was still intriguing.

Right now I feel like the only thing I'll be posting from the ongoing fashion shows is a lot of detail shots. Nothing wrong with that, but I'd love to love all of something. It's a little too early to feel jaded, I guess; we're still only in New York.

Soft Monday

Pants: 3.1 Phillip Lim / Skirt: Jil Sander / Sandals: Donna Karan / Pumps: Charlotte Olympia
Bag: Maison Martin Margiela / Shorts: Chloé / Dress: Donna Karan / Jacket: Rick Owens'
All from Net-a-Porter and Browns fashion.

Haven't gone window shopping online for a while, but I've got a big party coming up this Saturday, and as usual it feels like my closet is empty all of a sudden. The Donna Karan dress and sandals above would have been perfect...

I keep wondering how long I'll be on this pastel kick. I still think of myself as a girl wearing mostly greys and blacks, but I keep putting on floral dresses and pale tights. At least nobody says you can't wear those light shades with an attitude.

Best Boots of the Year

The NYE party I mentioned is back on, so I'm in quite a hurry right now, but I have to end the year with this one final post. I figured a Best of shoes 2010 post would be appropriate, and looking at the images, I realize black, wedge and tall are the main criteria when I go shoe shopping.

Shiny Seven

All from Net-a-Porter: Hervé Léger - Marc Jacobs - Emanuel Ungaro
Matthew Williamson - Proenza Schouler - Preen Line - Alexander Wang

While I've already got a dress for New Years Eve, I'd gladly trade it for any one of these. NYE requires the right amount of shine and glamour, and I've got my sequins ready. My only problems is that the party I was going to got cancelled today - now I might end up all dressed up with nowhere to go.

Shades of Grey

We've actually had snow today, though it's melting away as it touches the ground. Grey weather equals grey clothes, though there's nothing boring about these picks from Net-a-Porter and Browns.

Buckle Me Up

What do I think will become the most visible footwear trend this fall/winter? Buckled boots. These are my top ten favourites from Net-a-Porter and Browns right now. All black, all with high heels, all amazing.

What's that? You're saying I can have my pick of one of the above pairs? That's so nice of you, I'll go with the Burberry Prorsum's.

Bright Easter

Easter reminds me of bright yellow flowers, eggs and feathers. Here's a quick collage of yellow items I wouldn't mind wearing, featuring items I found via Polyvore. I actually own the perfume, and it really smells just like the colour yellow!

I'll be off shopping and relaxing the next few days, so this will probably be the last blog post in a little while. I wish you all a wonderful Easter with plenty of good food and weather!

Colours

Last piece of detail eye candy from SS09 runways for a while. Colours today. I hardly wear colour, and I know I should, so perhaps that'll be a resolution of sorts this summer.

In the pale

Starting up, there will be mostly picture posts here.

Last post looked much like what I'd wear if I could, but it was also dominated by dark shades. Thus, I put together a pale collage today. If I had complection like a model, I would probably be wearing more of these shades.

It's all in the details

Lately I've been drooling at close-ups of gorgeous fabrics, sharp tailoring and interesting textures.
Everything below makes me reconsider my shopping habits. You won't find quality like this at your local H&M, and if this is what I want to wear in a few months, or even years, I'll need to save up.
