Wuthering Heights

Proenza Schouler

I've been a very bad blogger lately, but the days only have 24 hours, and I've had a mountain of tasks to dig through this week. Hopefully, I'll have more spare time the rest of fashion month.

Obviously, the most important fashion related task on my list is to gather up pictures of brand new footwear. Seems like the designers of New York want us to keep wearing platform boots and sandals with thick heels. Fine with me, but I can't make up my mind about the Proenza Schouler disco shoes; are they brilliant or just hideous?

The boots at the Narciso Rodriguez show weren't groundbreaking, but the simple bend of the heel makes them interesting enough for me.

And then there was Calvin Klein. Such beauties. The brushed metal gives them almost a fragile feel, while the rubber sole might make them easier to wear than the height indicates. No doubt these will be among my favourites of the season.

  1. i love the proenzas.... i think they were my favorites this season more the second two, the boots and the ones with the back strap as clogs can be hard to wear with tights and socks and i'm just always game for another black boot.

this is the first time i've seen the calvins close up and wow are they beauties.... the boots are soo sleek and would give a seamless silhouette with tights or fitted pants..

    yummy,

  2. I agree...I'm not sure about Proenza's shape, I don't think I would wear them... On the other hand CK is such a surprise! I would never have thought I would like those shoes so much!
