One exam done, three more to go. The next one is Wednesday, which means I'm still stressed out, so here's another quick filler post with stunning images. The exam? I think I nailed it. Other versions of nailing it:
First image is from i-D winter 09/10, the second one from Bootstrapperboy.

200
This may or may not be a day too late, but I'd still like to wish a happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate it. While we don't do Thanksgiving here in Norway, I'd like to take a moment and mention how grateful I am for all my readers and all the comments I've received lately. You all motivate me to continue expressing myself though this blog. Unfortunately, I've just not got the time to visit other blogs or comment back at the moment, as my first of four exams this winter is next Monday. I promise I will be more social in a few weeks!
And as I'm incapable of posting without adding a picture, here are some turkey shoes from Prada:

Cold as Ice
This must be the perfect party season editorial recipe; take one part gorgeous ice queen Snejana Onopka, add clothes that show off her long legs, keep the colours to a minimum, shiny fabrics are good, add a little drama with the eye make-up. Simple and effective, and I love it.
Show Me editorial from Numéro Korea 17 (December 2009). Full editorial here.

Wait, What?
I don't think I'll ever be completely done with the Accessory Report, there's always something interesting to point out. This time around I dug up some oddities among all the great design. Here's a small dose of ugly and weird, to balance all the pretty things I normally try to post.
Chanel / Miu Miu
The seventies are back! I'm a bit torn on this one. While I don't like the style of most of the clogs from Chanel this season, this platform pump has got my attention. I think both these styles are on the verge of being quite trashy, but the right person could really rock them.
Maria Francesca Pepe.
Next up is some seriously impractical jewelry. I've already mentioned my love for weird jewelry, but this is just no good. From Maria Francesca Pepe comes one dumb ring that will never sit right on your finger and one gonna-cut-your-skin-and-make-you-bleed bracelet. Ouch.
Fendi
Fendi tapestry bags. One of those words do not belong with the two others. I honestly thought this was a joke at first, and I still hope it might be. How much can you expect somebody to pay for one of these?
Another thing that bothers me about the SS10 accessories is the vast amount of tassels and suede fringes. I feel like I'll have to give up hating these, because they're everywhere, and I just can't get their appeal.
I'd also like to mention that Louis Vuitton is currently dead to me. That is all.

Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night
Today I turn one quarter of a century old (ancient, I know...), and it's a Saturday, and it's the annual Christmas party at work.
All of this means I've got a busy Saturday full of cake, gifts, drinking and dancing. Right now I'm listening to awfully catchy pop music, doing my nails, and generally having a great time.
Kate wishes you all a great Saturday! Cheers!

Rest In Peace
So shocked by the news of Daul Kim's death right now. I really have no words, so I'll just repeat what tfr said:
"Let this be a lesson to those of us – including myself – who are shallow enough to ever catch themselves believing that they would be happy if only they were taller, thinner, better-dressed, wealthy or more beautiful."
Rest in peace. You will be missed.

Not Takin' No Calls Cause I'll Be Dancin'
These shoes might be from the Pierre Hardy SS10 collection, but all they do is remind me that party season is upon us in not too long. Bright colours, geometric details, see-through plastic, metallics and shoes with ... knee pads? That is certainly a new version of gladiator style, and it'll be interesting to see if it catches on.
My favourite of this batch is the blue cut-out boot below. It slightly reminds me of the YSL cage heels, and the colour alone is enough to make me salivate.

I Know They're Watching
Another great, old editorial I recently re-discovered. Romina Lanaro by Tom Munro in Numero # 80. Full editorial here. Make-up and styling is perfect, and I think those tights take the editorial from good to great.

Extras
I've been up since 5:30 today, so I'm probably a bit incoherent right now, but my inner magpie feels like writing a post about shiny items. These are also from the Accessory report. Two quite different takes on a bracelet, and I love them both, but the Kokosalaki necklace is the real reason I'm posting these. Pretty!
I love pieces of jewelry that challenges my view of what I think something is supposed to look like. That cube bracelet can't possibly be practical (or even comfortable), but it's fun and unique (and really, really shiny).

No Heel too High
The people over at New York Magazine have been kind enough to gather pictures of the amazing Daphne Guinness at recent events. While I'm normally not that fond of her outfit choices, I often go crazy with shoe envy when I look at her feet. One of my dreams is to some day have the money and access to stock my closet with the craziest creations directly from the runway.
Below, Guinness is wearing both the famous Nina Ricci skyscrapers from fall 2009 and the spring 2010 McQueen monster stilettoes. As impressive as those look, the biggest challenge has got to be the pair of red heels below, simply because wearing thin heels on grass is a whole new level of difficult!

Accessory Report Time
Hello. You all browse through the Accessory Report after every season, right? The Candy Pratts Price's Accessory Report for style.com? If you don't... you don't have to start right now, because I've collected the best of the best for you.
This is the Spring 2010 report, and it contains pictures of 478 brand new shoes, bags and pieces of jewelry. I've gone through them all a few times already, making wishlists and that's the ugliest bag I've ever seen-lists and of course my own best shoes-list. In no particular order, here are my favourites from the Spring 2010 selection:
