Satin and Leather

Celine X-cross satin sandals, £582 at net-a-porter.

Gorgeous monochrome heels from Celine. I love the detail on the platform; it really gives the shoes that little extra.

Saffron Days

The colours of this editorial are simply stunning! Model Lakshmi Menon has legs that seem to go on forever, and the styling and angle of the picture below makes her look even taller. I wish jumpsuits could look this great on me!

Warm Days Ahead

Sasha, Siri and Sigrid wishes you a great weekend with lots of fun!

Our icy little country is supposed to get the warmest weekend of the year so far, and I'm planning on relaxing in the park with great food and company. Knowing myself, there will be some drinking as well. Cheers!

Sharp!

Architectural heels from Omelle, an exciting new shoe brand I just discovered. While the shoes of the current season are amazing, I can't wait to see what the two designers behind the brand will come up with in the future. The sketch below is from the 2010 spring collection, and it looks very promising!

Crete!

Today was rainy, but sunshine is on my mind, as I just paid for a trip to Crete in July for my best friend and I. Mentally, I've started packing my bag already. Prepare yourself for more bikini posts!

Shady

My last pairs of sunglasses have all come from H&M, and they've all looked more or less the same. When the aviator style became really popular a few years ago I was relieved, because the style fit the shape of my head pretty well. Since then I've kept buying and wearing cheap aviators, and it's getting a bit boring, but i just can't seem to find anything else that suits me well.

This year I'd like an upgrade, or some kind of change. The blue Club Monaco ones above would be perfect, but they aren't available online, as far as I can tell. Fortunately, aviators are found everywhere, and I'm becoming particularily attached to the Gucci's below.

Mmm, summer shopping!

Wrong

I was innocently browsing my daily reads online when the radio started playing the Depeche Mode song Wrong. A few seconds into the song, I stumble across the following atrociousness from American Apparel, and just had to post.

Yeah, those are assless tights. Tights with the back cut out. Why on earth would anybody need something like this?

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Margiela Magic

I strongly recommend heading over to the always wonderful Luxirare blog to have a look at the Margiela Artisanal collection. My personal favourites are the leather waistcoats below. Even I would consider wearing a white dress if I could layer one of these on top.

Exhaustion

I'm tired beyond words right now. The weekend was spent solving a huge personal problem, but involved quite a bit of stress on my mind and body. Going straight back to full-time working on monday was perhaps not the best idea, and today I was told I need to move within a few days, so the evening has been spent cleaning and packing. I feel like an echo of myself, but I'm going to have to put blogging further down on the list of priorities for a week or two.

Here's some Vogue to visually please. Suvi doing what she does best; extreme posing. Full editorial here.

Mmm, Electronics!

As girly as I am, I also like gadgets and shiny electronics. Here are a few things I'd need to actually save up for before buying. I thought it might be a good idea to do a post like this to remind myself that I don't have to spend every single cent of my paycheck each month, and if I don't, I'll be able to afford shinies like the ones below.

1. Canon EOS 450D, or similar.

My current camera is ok, but I want something great. I've also discovered that my camera lacks an auto feature, so outfit posts (yes, I've been intending to do some of those) will probably be limited to mirror shots for now. I hate mirror shots.

2. External hard drive.

My recent history of computer crashes really made me realize how valuable back-up is. I still haven't gotten my dear laptop back from service, and I'll only be able to borrow the one I've got at the moment for another two weeks...

3. iPhone, or other touch-screen phone.

I just realized my current phone is one and a half years old, and while that doesn't mean I need a new one, I certainly want one. I've never really owned a fancy cell phone, and I'd probably crack the screen the first week if I were to get one, but the desire is there.

Splashes of Colour

New clothes! I was in need of a little colour and something beige, but I'm on a strict budget the rest of the month, so H&M and Cubus it is.

Grey/beige shorts; H&M, blue top; Cubus. To be worn with new, colourful heels from gojane, or not-so-new, grey Faith heels. Perhaps I'll add a pale blazer and use some bright eyeshadow, and... Wait, that sounds familiar.

Inspired by SS09 Gucci lately? Yeah, I can't really deny that. And to think how I absolutely loathed that collection when it first was shown (except the shoes, which I still drool over)...

And while on the topic of colourful apparel; I'm considering getting some Matthew Williamson for H&M items, if I can get my hands on them. I won't rush to the store to do so, but I have found a few pieces that I wouldn't mind wearing.

Fever

I've spent most of the day on the couch, shivering one minute, sweating the next, sometimes getting up to try and get something done, but getting way too dizzy to function after just a few minutes on my feet.

Haven't really felt like eating much today, except for sugar snap peas and strawberries. Of course I didn't have any of either. Right now I feel mostly well again, so I think I'll try to take a walk to the closest store to get something green and fresh. And tomorrow I'll actually post something fashion related, imagine that!

Psst; I registered at bloglovin. Don't know if that'll make any difference, for me or for readers...

Eyes, Hips, Legs

Yet another short picture post. I feel completely uninspired and a bit overworked these days, which is why the blog is suffering. I think I need to start working out again; I haven't done any since I moved, and I'm extremely out of shape.

Gisele is looking stunning in these too-much-even-for-me shoes, and her body should be just the inspiration I need to get off my butt. Or crush my self confidence. Oh well.
