Haven't Had Faith In Such A Long Time
Ok, Alexander Wang, fine. I was getting a bit tired of you, but keep this up and we can be friends. I've grown really fond of these two silhouettes, and it's refreshing to drool over shoes that aren't wedges once in a while.
So. I'm still alive and kicking. Only one exam left, and then it's vacation time. In blog-related news, Heavy Heels is almost at 300 posts, which is sort of amazing, and should warrant a give-away. Stay tuned!

And On I Read Until The Day Was Gone
These days I am studying for my exams, and I thought I'd illustrate this with some backstage pictures of models with books. I'll probably not be posting and commenting as much as usual for the next few weeks, though I won't disappear completely.
If any of you are struggling with your studies, I wish you the best of luck!

Blinding
First up is something white. Of the blinding kind.
Some of you are most likely thinking that white is not really a colour and all of that tired sort of nonsense. Well I'm here to tell you that it is. White is without question a colour, and personally, I don't think you want to argue.

Decisions
More wedges! I almost wish designers would stop making such amazing shoes, there are already so many options for fall. These are by LD Tuttle, a brand I've heard great things about from fellow bloggers. The shoes are sturdy and easy to walk in, and I really, really want a pair.

ONE TWO THREE
Not much to say, as these images speak for themselves. If you're a fan, you need to get yourself over to Christeric, the creator of these beautiful monsters, to see more.

Harder Better Faster Longer
Found my new maxi dress! In fact, I found two! I couldn't decide between a dark or a pale one, and since these were not too expensive, I got both.
Below is some more maxi inspiration. I figured if the Olsen twins, who are both around 5 feet tall, can wear long skirts and dresses without looking like midgets, then I've got nothing to be afraid of.

It Came From Outer Space
If the new Raphael Young collection was shoes from outer space, this is the kind of jewelry you'd want to pair them with. These enormous necklaces come from London based designer Carianne Moore. I find them very gorgeous, but slightly intimidating. It's as if they're miniatures of the spaceships of some terrible alien race that would destroy Earth if they ever came across it. (I've been re-reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy lately, can you tell?) This doesn't stop me from loving them, though.

Extraterrestrial
Raphael Young has done it again. Look at these beauties! So detailed, sculptured, sleek and futuristic. I love what Connie Wang of Refinery 29 had to say about them:
Raphael drew his influences for his fall 2010 collection from heliocentric theory, which results in heels and boots that look like a whole army of Stormtroopers and Darth Vader doppelgangers perched atop sculptural heels that could have been plucked right off the surface of a planet far, far away. Too nerdy for you? Ignore the references and just appreciate the shoes for its supreme badassness.
