It's a wrap

Haute Couture "week" is over, but I'm not quite done processing it.



Collections I haven't written about yet include Christian Lacroix (the two looks above) and Valentino, both of which I didn't care much for, but also didn't expect to like anyway. Lacroix is always too much for me (as usual with the exception of a few looks), and Valentino under the new "designers" felt stiff and forced.

Jean Paul Gaultier is another brand I never expect much from. Sure, it's spectacular enough, but there is always something off-putting about it. I guess it's just not my style. The following two looks were my favourites from this years collection:



Elie Saab Haute Couture I had to take a second look at. While he still shows prom style dresses decked in pastels, pearls and glitter, this collection felt much more directional than usual.
