Space Age Decay

Today I'm bringing you another fresh serving of shoe porn. First spotted over at Style Bubble, these are from the hand-finished Biofuture collection of Belarussian/Canadian designer Anastasia Radevich.

I know, I'm such a sucker for intricately shaped heels, and I would be crazy not to love these. Inspired by broken shells and organic lifeforms, the collection feels a bit like McQueen mixed with Rodarte, and that's not a complaint. Radevich has in fact previously worked/interned for both Alexander McQueen and Nicholas Kirkwood, and that's got to be a great way to begin a career as a shoe designer.

Stones In His Pocket

Oh my. Not only is the shape of the heel amazing, but that grey/distressed/stone colour is perfect for these shoes. I've been a huge fan of Sophia Kokosalaki's work for a while, and now she's designing shoes to kill for as well. These are from the fall 2009 collection.

Opera!

Todays post is just a collection of three similar and awesome items I've stumbled upon lately. They all remind me both of the Sydney Opera and of dragon scales, and of course I love them all.

Money Could Buy Me Love

Sometimes I hate sales. All these gorgeous shoes are currently reduced by 60 or 70%, and they're still out of my league. That's a bit depressing. Hopefully I've only got two more years of studies before I can get myself a well-paying job, but by then I'll probably have other things to worry about, like buying a car or a house.

Goodbye, gorgeous heels! I hope you end up with somebody who deserve you!

Day / Night

Two amazing and haunting shots from photographer Kerstin zu Pan. I think I'll have nightmares if I stare at these for too long, but it's hard to look away.
