Miaow
By the time you're reading this I'm probably a cat. Perhaps even a drunk cat. Have fun tonight, I know I will!

Dance in the Dark
Just when I thought I'd fully embraced minimalism, I'm starting to want some serious shine and sparkle. I blame it on the changing seasons.

Set It Off
A small bunch of gorgeous footwear that I just couldn't leave sitting in my image folder any longer. I love reading the blogs of people who get to experience and document fashion shows, because they're often the best at shooting shoes.

TGIF
My mood is very much improved today. The snow that fell yesterday hasn't completely disappeared, but it's supposed to melt away tomorrow. Other mood lifters: my brand new bright red coat that makes me feel a little bit like Ginta in these pictures; the gorgeous guy I think I'm falling for; buying new shoes; lighting lots of candles and drinking vanilla tea.
I hope your weekend will be as fabulous as I think mine will be!

Discontent
Today, in a town one hour away (Risør, southern Norway)
GUESS WHAT!? It is NOT OK when we get snow in October! Can somebody PLEASE turn up the heat just a little? I mean, have you tried wearing wedges in slippery snow? It's like wearing a pair of sledges on your feet. Not very elegant! And did I mention how COLD it is outside right now?
I am so not ready for winter yet.

Closer to the Edge
Can't help but loving the mood and colours of this editorial from Pop fall/winter 2002. I feel like I could really use a few days lounging in the sun next to a pool right now; this weekend has been extremely busy.

Danger! Danger!
If I ever get to play a villain in a movie, I'll ask for the chance to wear either one of these.

Almost
I'm always complaining about the lack of great shoes or the lack of good detail shots of footwear after a fashion month is over, but in retrospect there was quite a bit of both on the SS 2011 runways. The almost-wedge appeared in a few shows this season; at least that's what I call these really chunky heels with a little bit of space left open between the toes and the heel.
I really like the soft shape of the Dries Van Noten shoes, and appreciate the quirky charm of the Fendi pairs, but I think Chanel missed the mark on these. They feel a bit cheap and awkward, not at all what I like to associate with the brand. One hit and one miss from Karl, I guess.

Range of Orange
Orange better become a colour trend next season, as this took me long enough to make.
Seriously, though, orange seems like a hard colour to pull off, but it can be really pretty and eye-catching when done right. And with a range of shades this wide, there should be something out there for everybody, including me with my pale, Nordic skin.

Zara, I Hate You
And I only hate you 'cause I love you. See, I was really excited when Zara opened up an online store, and almost heartbroken when I realized they're not shipping to Norway. I know we're just a tiny country, but we love online shopping! At least I do!
It's almost painful to browse their site, because there are just so many items that would go perfectly with everything else in my closet. Like these tiny, shiny bags. Fortunately, I bought one of them when in Barcelona this summer, but I've come to realize that I really need a red one as well.

Thank You, Sarah
Fantasy footwear at Alexander McQueen SS11. I believe this collection was as good as it could possibly have been without Lee, and I'm grateful we'll get to see more from the house in the future.

So Easy
The second best thing about Lanvin spring/summer 2011 might be the fact that there weren't a single white garnment in the collection. The best part was every single one of the looks above, including the shoes. Finally some non-boring, non-safe heels!
Normally, Lanvin is a bit too feminine and frothy for my tastes, but this season it's one of my favourites. The fabrics, silhouettes, colours, accessories and even the styling is superb.
