Currently: zero inspiration and close to zero time to find any. Then these Versace beauties came along to remind me that I have this thing called a blog that I might want to pay attention to. Not that I don't love good old black, or the pastels of the season, but I certainly wouldn't mind more shoes resembling exotic birds.

Heads Up

Pretty much everybody loved the main SS 2010 Alexander McQueen campaign, but I'm thinking this might be even better than Raquel Zimmermann covered in snakes. I've never been particularily fond of skulls, but they are such a big part of the McQueen brand that using skulls for advertising eyewear feels completely natural. And awesome.

La Poupée Russe

This girl needs no introduction. My all time favourite model, the gorgeous 25 years old Sasha Pivovarova. Whether she's stomping down the catwalk or shooting yet another editorial, she's always so very present and lively, and there's no end to her versatility. Sexy, sultry, sad, innocent, happy, angry, intense, fierce; Sasha can do anything.

How could I not re-blog these DSquared beauties? So happy they're being produced, and I love that they kept the ridiculous height. Pictures from Jak & Jil and Sea of Shoes.

Play Some Kind of New Sound

I never really got around to post all my favourites from the fall fashion shows, and now we're in the middle of resort 2011. I've never really understood the point of resort and cruise. To me, most of these collections lack identity and enthusiasm, so I never pay too much attention to them. But there's always something that stands out from the rest, and for some reason I really like this resort collection from Rag & Bone. While there aren't really any groundbreaking designs here, there's plenty of good styling and wonderful garnments I'd love to stick in my closet, like the gorgeous dress above. Everything feels fresh, young, and easy.

Standing Tall

Valentino / Casadei

Summer has just arrived, and so have the first shoes from the fall collections. I've noticed some designers are trying to make kitten heels happen again, but I'm not on board. Both colours and details on these boots are gorgeous, but it's the shape I love. The shape and height.

Viva Vacation!

Thursday: final exam, big party
Friday: hung over
Saturday: wedding
Sunday: hung over

Plans for the near future: sleep in the sun, eat more strawberries, read a small mountain of great books, wear weightless sun-dresses, cut my hair, drink imported beer with friends, catch up with the blog world.
